Darktrace Named One of Europe’s Fastest Growing Technology Businesses
Recognized by Tech Tour Growth 50 for its Achievement and Impact
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that it has been named on the 2017 Tech Tour Growth 50 ranking. This list shines a light on the next generation of Europe’s fastest-growing, equity- backed technology businesses.
In putting together this ranking, a selection committee, composed of international venture capital firms, advisers and experts, researched and evaluated over 280 European private technology companies valued at under $1bn. These companies were judged based on their achievement, impact, and momentum.
Darktrace, which now has 370 employees in 23 global locations, features in the prestigious list for the second year in a row thanks to its phenomenal 600% year-on-year growth. The company’s flagship technology, the Enterprise Immune System, has been deployed over 2,000 times across 60 countries worldwide, and has detected 30,000 serious, in-progress cyber-threats to date.
Darktrace is the world’s leading machine learning company for cyber security. Created by mathematicians from the University of Cambridge, the Enterprise Immune System uses AI algorithms to automatically detect and take action against cyber-threats within all types of networks, including physical, cloud and virtualized networks, as well as IoT and industrial control systems. A self-configuring platform, Darktrace requires no prior set-up, identifying advanced threats in real time, including zero-days, insiders and stealthy, silent attackers. Headquartered in San Francisco and Cambridge, UK, Darktrace has 23 offices worldwide.
