Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense, has today announced that it has been selected as the winner of Tech Tour Growth 50’s ‘Growth Award’. This prestigious award is presented to a European technology entrepreneur whose private company has had the biggest impact, on the largest number of people, in the least amount of time.

For the second year running, Darktrace has been named on the Tech Tour Growth 50 list, which recognizes Europe’s super-scale ups. Darktrace was selected as the winner of the 2018 ‘Growth Award’ thanks to its achievement, impact, stellar growth, and executive team’s pedigree.

“In an internet-enabled world, where everyone, and everything is connected, cyber security is the one issue uniting CEOs, Presidents and Prime-ministers alike,” said William Stevens, Group Managing Director, Tech Tour. “Darktrace’s application of machine learning in this field is simply a game changer, detecting the unpredictable and the undefinable. The company growth over the last five years has been enormously impressive, and we are delighted to welcome Nicole, Poppy and the rest of their team into the Pantheon of Tech Tour Growth Award winners.”

“We are honored to be recognized as Europe’s number one super-scale up by Tech Tour Growth 50,” commented Poppy Gustafsson, CEO EMEA at Darktrace. “Darktrace was founded in 2013 and today protects thousands of organizations around the world with AI that detects and fights back autonomously against cyber-threats. The massive demand we have seen for this fundamental technology has fueled our growth; we now have 32 offices and more than 650 employees. Being recognized by Tech Tour Growth 50 is a testament to this incredible achievement.”
