David Masson is Darktrace’s Director of Enterprise Security, and has over two decades of experience working in fast moving security and intelligence environments in the UK, Canada and worldwide. With skills developed in the civilian, military and diplomatic worlds, he has been influential in the efficient and effective resolution of various unique national security issues. David is an operational solutions expert and has a solid reputation across the UK and Canada for delivery tailored to customer needs. At Darktrace, David advises strategic customers across North America and is also a regular contributor to major media outlets in Canada where he is based, included CBC and The Globe and Mail. He holds a master’s degree from Edinburgh University.

Mike Beck, Global Head of Threat Analysis

Mike has 10 years’ experience as operational advisor and delivery lead for a range of national security programmes in the UK government. With vast experience of consulting on tactical cyber defense, he oversees the support and training of Darktrace clients post-implementation. Prior to joining Darktrace in 2014, Mike also served as a GovCERT UK practitioner, defending against a wide range of cyber threats. Mike was also deployed as a civilian advisor to a number of active operational commands within the UK military. He holds a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Plymouth, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a GIAC Incident Handler.

Justin Fier, Director of Cyber Intelligence & Analytics

Justin is one of the US’s leading cyber intelligence experts, and holds the position of Director for Cyber Intelligence & Analytics at Darktrace. His insights on cyber security and artificial intelligence have been widely reported in leading media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Washington Post, and VICELAND. With over 10 years’ experience in cyber defense, Justin has supported various elements in the US intelligence community, holding mission-critical security roles with Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and Abraxas. Justin is also a highly-skilled technical specialist, and works with Darktrace’s strategic global customers on threat analysis, defensive cyber operations, protecting IoT, and machine learning.

Eleanor Weaver, Division Director, Darktrace Industrial

Eleanor Weaver is the Division Director for Darktrace Industrial, focusing on the defense of OT, IT and IoT environments. She joined Darktrace shortly after the company was founded in 2013 and helped it to grow the client base that now includes over 8,000 deployments worldwide. Having successfully established Darktrace in Africa, and managed the region for three years, Eleanor now heads up industrial efforts globally for Darktrace. She has spoken internationally at events, with her specialism lying in the application of AI and machine learning to futureproof and protect core infrastructures and operational technologies.

Marcus Fowler, Director of Strategic Threat

Marcus Fowler spent 15 years at the Central Intelligence Agency developing global cyber operations and technical strategies, until joining Darktrace in 2019. He has led cyber efforts with various US Intelligence Community elements and global partners, and has extensive experience advising senior leaders on cyber efforts. He is recognized as a leader in developing and deploying innovative cyber solutions. Prior to serving at the CIA, Marcus was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Marcus has an engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters’ Degree in International Security Studies from The Fletcher School. He also completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Advanced Management Program.

Dave Palmer, Director of Technology

Dave is the Director of Technology at Darktrace, overseeing the mathematics and engineering teams and project strategies. With over 13 years’ experience at the forefront of government intelligence operations, Dave has worked across UK intelligence agencies GCHQ and MI5, where he was responsible for delivering mission-critical infrastructure services, including replacing and securing entire global networks, the development of operational internet capabilities and the management of critical disaster recovery incidents. He acts as an advisor to cyber security start-ups and growth-stage companies from the UK Government’s Cyber Security Accelerator and CyLon. His insights on AI and the future of cyber security are also regularly featured in the UK media. He holds a first-class degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Max Heinemeyer, Director of Threat Hunting

Max is a cyber security expert with over nine years’ experience in the field, specializing in network monitoring and offensive security. At Darktrace, Max works with strategic customers to help them investigate and respond to threats, as well as overseeing the cyber security analyst team in the Cambridge UK headquarters. Prior to his current role, Max led the Threat and Vulnerability Management department for Hewlett-Packard in Central Europe. In this role he worked as a white hat hacker, leading penetration tests and red team engagements. He was also part of the German Chaos Computer Club when he was still living in Germany. Max holds a MSc from the University of Duisburg-Essen and a BSc from the Cooperative State University Stuttgart in International Business Information Systems.

Andrew Tsonchev, Director of Technology

Andrew is a technical expert on cyber security and advises Darktrace’s strategic customers on advanced threat defense, AI and autonomous response. He has a background in threat analysis and research, and holds a first-class degree in physics from Oxford University and a first-class degree in philosophy from King’s College London. His comments on cyber security and the threat to critical national infrastructure have been reported in international media, including CNBC and the BBC World.

John Richardson OBE, Director of Operations & Security

John Richardson has twenty years’ experience in UK Government Security and Intelligence. He has worked in several UK government departments, concentrating on the development and exploitation of internet technologies, as well as implementing cyber security measures for the protection of National Security, Intelligence Critical National Infrastructure. John is a founding member of Darktrace and provides executive support to our global and strategic clients and partners. His primary focus is to help in getting the most operational and investment value out of the comprehensive Darktrace platform. John received an OBE in 2012 for his work in Government Service and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the Chartered Institute for IT.

Nabil Zoldjalali, Director of Cloud Security

Based in Toronto, Nabil specializes in the application of cloud technologies and works closely with Darktrace’s Research & Development team. He advises strategic Fortune 500 customers across North America on advanced threat detection, cyber AI, and Autonomous Response for cloud and SaaS environments. Nabil is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences across North America, including Microsoft Ignite, Black Hat, and the World AI Forum. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from McGill University and is an advisory board member of the EC Council.

Mariana Pereira, Director of Email Security Products, EMEA

Mariana is the Director of Email Security Products at Darktrace, with a primary focus on the capabilities of AI cyber defenses against email-borne attacks. Mariana works closely with the development, analyst, and marketing teams to advise technical and non-technical audiences on how best to augment cyber resilience within the email domain, and how to implement AI technology as a means of defense. She speaks regularly at international events, with a specialism in presenting on sophisticated, AI-powered email attacks. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, and speaks several languages including French, Italian, and Portuguese.

Based in New York, Dan is the Director of Email Security Products for the Americas. He joined Darktrace’s technical team in 2015, helping customers quickly achieve a complete and granular understanding of Darktrace’s world-leading Cyber AI Platform and products.
