Nicole Eagan, Co-CEO
As Chief Executive Officer of Darktrace, Nicole Eagan has established the company as the global leader of AI cyber defense. Her extensive career spans 25 years working for Oracle and early to late-stage growth companies. Named 'AI Leader of the Year' in 2017, Nicole has introduced disruptive machine learning to enterprises of all sizes. Today, Darktrace has a valuation of $1.25 billion and counts Insight, KKR, Summit Partners, and Samsung among its investors. Darktrace’s innovative approach to cyber security has won over 100 awards and the company has been named to WSJ Tech Companies to Watch, Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, and the CNBC Disruptor 50.
Poppy Gustafsson, Co-CEO
Poppy is a co-founder of Darktrace, which under her leadership has reached an $1.25 billion valuation in under five years and was named Europe’s ‘Fastest Growing Super Scale-up’ by Tech Tour. Poppy is a qualified chartered accountant and previously served as the company’s CFO. Prior roles also include financial controller positions in the technology and venture capital sectors. She was named City A.M.’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2017.
Jack Stockdale, Chief Technology Officer
Jack Stockdale has 20 years’ experience of software engineering. He is the founding CTO at Darktrace, overseeing the development of Bayesian mathematical models and artificial intelligence algorithms that underpin Enterprise Immune System technology, which was recognized by the Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Innovation Award Committee in 2017. Jack has a degree in Computer Science from Lancaster University.
Emily Orton, Chief Marketing Officer
Emily is responsible for global marketing and communications, a role she has held since Darktrace’s foundation in 2013. She is also a commentator on cyber security issues and has appeared in leading media outlets including BBC News, Sky News and Channel 4. Emily has ten years’ experience in technology marketing. She has an MA in Modern Languages from the University of Cambridge.
Nick Trim, Chief Revenue Officer
Nick Trim has fifteen years' experience working in operational environments in the UK cyber defense effort. In collaboration with various government departments, he played a critical role in creating cutting-edge operational capabilities to defend against a range of threats to national security, for the protection of critical infrastructure. Nick has worked extensively with partners around the world, and is an expert in human intelligence and social engineering. He has also worked as a cyber consultant, advising large companies on their areas of vulnerability and helping devise their cyber strategy. Nick has a Master's degree in History from Durham University.
Dave Palmer, Director of Technology
Dave Palmer is the Director of Technology at Darktrace, overseeing the mathematics and engineering teams and project strategies. With over ten years of experience at the forefront of government intelligence operations, Palmer has worked across UK intelligence agencies GCHQ & MI5, where he delivered mission-critical infrastructure services, including the replacement and security of entire global networks, the development of operational internet capabilities and the management of critical disaster recovery incidents. He holds a first-class degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
Justin Fier, Director of Cyber Intelligence & Analytics
Justin Fier is the Director for Cyber Intelligence & Analytics at Darktrace, based in Washington D.C. Justin is one of the US’s leading cyber intelligence experts, and his insights have been widely reported in leading media outlets, including Wall Street Journal, CNN, the Washington Post, and VICELAND. With over 10 years of experience in cyber defense, Justin has supported various elements in the US intelligence community, holding mission-critical security roles with Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and Abraxas. Justin is also a highly-skilled technical specialist, and works with Darktrace’s strategic global customers on threat analysis, defensive cyber operations, protecting IoT, and machine learning.
Andrew Tsonchev, Director of Technology, Darktrace Industrial
Andrew oversees Darktrace’s OT security offerings, providing cyber defense solutions for industrial environments. Andrew has worked extensively across all aspects of Darktrace's technical and commercial operations, and advises Darktrace’s strategic Fortune 500 customers on advanced threat detection, machine learning and autonomous response. Andrew has a technical background in threat analysis and research, and holds a first-class degree in physics from Oxford University and a first-class degree in philosophy from King’s College London.
Sanjay Aurora, Managing Director, Asia Pacific
As Managing Director of Darktrace in Asia Pacific & Japan, Sanjay has spearheaded the company’s regional growth since 2015. Now valued at over $1.25 billion, Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System is the world’s leading cyber AI company. With over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software industry, Sanjay has introduced Darktrace’s innovative technology to organizations of all sizes across the region. His views on the evolution of cyber-threats and the power of AI for autonomous response are widely reported by leading media outlets, including Channel NewsAsia and CNBC. Sanjay has a degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Al Martin, VP, Technical Operations
Al Martin has over 14 years' experience in enterprise software. Prior to joining Darktrace, he was responsible for the creation and growth of the HP Professional Services Solutions organization. Al is responsible for customer-facing technical teams at Darktrace, ensuring the highest standards of consistency and service across the customer experience. Al holds a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield.
Michael Beck, Global Head of Threat Analysis
Michael Beck has 10 years' experience as operational advisor and delivery lead for a range of national security programmes in the UK government. Prior to joining Darktrace in 2014, Michael also served as a GovCERT UK practitioner, defending against a wide range of cyber threats, and was deployed as a civilian advisor to a number of active operational commands within the UK military. With vast experience of consulting on tactical cyber defense, he oversees the support and training of Darktrace clients post-implementation. Michael has a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Plymouth, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a GIAC Incident Handler.
Don Avant, Vice President for Customer Experience
Don is responsible for all aspects of customer success at Darktrace. He has a proven track record in project and program management that spans more than 25 years. He started his professional career as an engineer with the Bechtel Corporation before moving into the Professional Services industry, first with Arthur Andersen and then with Ernst & Young Global, where he directed global functional teams in both Finance and IT. Prior to Darktrace, Don served as Vice President for Hewlett-Packard, where he held multiple leadership roles in the Software Business Unit. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Craig Sutherland, Director of Customer Operations
Craig joined the company in 2018, following a 28-year career in military service, with extensive operational and program management experience, including expertise in offensive and defensive cyber operations. He has served on every continent, specializing in the communications, intelligence and UK Special Forces arenas, with a detailed knowledge of National Security operations. His communications expertise has been in the provision of secure, end-to-end mission-critical voice and data services on a global scale. Craig holds an MA in Defence Technology from Cranfield University, and is a Graduate of the City and Guilds Institute.
Gary Szukalski, Chief Channel Management Officer
Gary is a widely-respected software executive with decades of experience in business development and marketing enterprise software. He built a world-class sales team at Filetek where he was President and CMO and was SVP of Field Marketing and Demand Generation for Verity. He is a tireless ambassador for the companies he works for and brings his energy, enthusiasm and skills to Darktrace. He is based in the Washington D.C. area in the US, working closely with the worldwide Darktrace sales organization overseeing its global partner program and indirect sales channel.
Rob Sass, Managing Director, North America
Rob Sass has over 30 years' experience in the enterprise software industry, holding Senior Vice President of Sales roles for 13 years prior to Darktrace. Joining the company in 2013, Rob was instrumental in founding the North America division, and is responsible for key strategic accounts across the U.S. and Canada. Rob holds a degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York.
John Richardson OBE, Director of Operations & Security
John Richardson has twenty years' experience in the security and defense sector. He has worked across several UK government departments, concentrating on the development and exploitation of internet technologies and cyber security measures, for national security and the protection of critical national infrastructures. John specializes in the application of technical intelligence to dynamic threat environments and operational risk mitigation strategies. He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, an MBA, and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the Chartered Institute for IT.
Emmanuel Meriot, Country Manager, France & Spain
Emmanuel Meriot joined Darktrace in 2014 as Country Manager for France and Spain. He has over 20 years' experience in the enterprise software industry, specializing in the delivery of innovative technology projects for global corporations. Emmanuel was previously Managing Director for Southern Europe at HP's Information Management division, with responsibility for key strategic accounts. Emmanuel began his career at Xerox and subsequently helped to create the US software company Vantive. He has a Master's degree in business management.
Corrado Broli, Country Manager, Italy
Corrado Broli has over 25 years' experience in the enterprise software industry, focusing on strategic sales and business development. He has served as Country Manager for Italy at several global IT companies, managing major accounts across Italy and Europe and contributing to some of the largest software implementations in the region. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, with a major in Business Management, from the Politecnico di Milano.
David Masson, Country Manager, Canada
David Masson is Darktrace’s Country Manager for Canada and has over two decades of experience working in fast moving security and intelligence environments in the UK, Canada and world-wide. With skills developed in the civilian, military and diplomatic worlds, he has been influential in the efficient and effective resolution of various unique national security issues. Dave is an operational solutions expert and has a solid reputation across the UK and Canada for delivery tailored to customer needs. In recent years he has advised many government institutions on Insider Threat, helping them to reduce their vulnerability and level of risk. He holds a Master's degree from Edinburgh University.
