Nicole Eagan, Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Darktrace, Nicole Eagan has positioned the company as an international leader in cyber defense. Nicole was named ‘Woman of the Year’ at the 2016 Cyber Security Awards for successfully introducing disruptive machine learning technology to the global market. Her extensive career as a technology executive includes over 25 years of commercial and marketing experience. An expert in developing and executing strategies for high-growth businesses, Nicole helped Darktrace secure $65 million in Series C funding from KKR and led the company to 600% year-on-year growth. Under her leadership, Darktrace’s innovative approach to cyber security has won over 20 awards, including World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, CA and Cambridge, England and now has more than 360 employees working across 23 countries.
Poppy Gustafsson, Chief Executive Officer, EMEA
As Chief Executive Officer for EMEA, Poppy oversees operations across the region and has been critical to the rapid growth that Darktrace has experienced in just three years. Poppy is a co-founder and previously served as the company’s CFO. Prior to Darktrace, she was the Corporate Controller at Cambridge-based software company Autonomy. Poppy has extensive industry experience across several sectors, specializing in venture capital and technology companies, and is a qualified chartered accountant. She frequently speaks to the European investment community and recently accompanied the UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, on a trade mission to India.
Jack Stockdale, Global Chief Technology Officer
Jack Stockdale started his career at enterprise software company Autonomy, where he worked on the core software platform IDOL as Technical Director and later Chief Architect. He moved to Blinkx in 2006, where he spent 5 years as Director of Research and Development, with responsibility for the technical development of Blinkx's award-winning online video search engine. Jack is CTO at Darktrace, overseeing the application of Bayesian mathematical models onto the Darktrace Enterprise Immune System. He has a degree in Computer Science from Lancaster University.
Steve Chamberlain, Chief Operations Officer
Steve joined Darktrace in 2016 having spent almost 4 years as Chief Financial Officer of Sepura plc, a UK-listed technology group with revenues of €200 million. Prior to that Steve spent 7 years as VP Finance at Autonomy. Steve has over 20 years experience in finance most of which has been spent in high growth technology companies. His experience includes: acquisitions with a combined value of over $2 billion; capital raising – debt and equity; investor relations; and integrating acquired businesses. He holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Steve is also a Board Director at Cambridge United Football Club.
Gary Szukalski, Chief Marketing Officer
Gary is a widely-respected software executive with decades of experience in business development and marketing enterprise software. He built a world-class sales team at Filetek where he was President and CMO and was SVP of Field Marketing and Demand Generation for Verity, which was acquired by Autonomy, where he had a similar role. He is a tireless ambassador for the companies he works for and brings his energy, enthusiasm and skills to Darktrace. He is based in the Washington D.C. area in the U.S., working closely with Rob Sass and the sales team there, as well as overseeing the marketing team in the UK and Europe.
Dave Palmer, Director of Technology
Dave Palmer is the Director of Technology at Darktrace, overseeing the mathematics and engineering teams and project strategies. With over ten years of experience at the forefront of government intelligence operations, Palmer has worked across UK intelligence agencies GCHQ & MI5, where he delivered mission-critical infrastructure services, including the replacement and security of entire global networks, the development of operational internet capabilities and the management of critical disaster recovery incidents. He holds a first class degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
John Richardson OBE, Director of Operations & Security
John Richardson has twenty years' experience in the security and defense sector. He has worked across several UK government departments, concentrating on the development and exploitation of internet technologies and cyber security measures, for national security and the protection of critical national infrastructures. John specializes in the application of technical intelligence to dynamic threat environments and operational risk mitigation strategies. He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, an MBA, and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the Chartered Institute for IT.
Justin Fier, Director of Cyber Intelligence & Analytics
Justin Fier is the Director for Cyber Intelligence & Analytics at Darktrace, based in Washington D.C. With over 10 years of experience in cyber defense, Fier has supported various elements in the US intelligence community, holding mission-critical security roles with Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and Abraxas. Fier is a highly-skilled technical officer, and a specialist in cyber operations across both offensive and defensive arenas.
Al Martin, VP, Technical Operations
Al Martin has over 11 years' experience in enterprise software, starting at Autonomy, where he ran the company's pre-sales and post-sales organizations across EMEA and APJ and oversaw some of the world’s largest software deployments. Prior to joining Darktrace, he worked for HP, where he was responsible for the creation and growth of the Professional Services Solutions organization. Al is responsible for customer-facing technical teams at Darktrace, ensuring the highest standards of consistency and service across all customer touch points. Al holds a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield.
Michael Beck, Global Head of Threat Analysis
Michael Beck has 10 years' experience as operational advisor and delivery lead for a range of national security programmes in the UK government. Prior to joining Darktrace in 2014, Michael also served as a GovCERT UK practitioner, defending against a wide range of cyber threats, and was deployed as a civilian advisor to a number of active operational commands within the UK military. With vast experience of consulting on tactical cyber defense, he oversees the support and training of Darktrace clients post-implementation. Michael has a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Plymouth, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a GIAC Incident Handler.
Emily Orton, Head of Marketing
Emily has worked in technology marketing for over seven years, previously serving as Head of Marketing EMEA at enterprise software company Autonomy, before joining Invoke Capital at its foundation in 2012, as a senior associate. She has also held editorial and business development roles at media company Emap. At Darktrace, Emily is responsible for worldwide marketing and communicating innovative approaches to cyber security based on fundamental new technologies, and her comments have been reported in leading media outlets including the BBC, Sky News and Channel 4. She holds an MA in Modern Languages from the University of Cambridge, and speaks French and Spanish.
Nick Trim, Managing Director, EMEA
Nick Trim has fifteen years' experience working in operational environments in the UK cyber defense effort. In collaboration with various government departments, he played a critical role in creating cutting-edge operational capabilities to defend against a range of threats to national security, for the protection of critical infrastructure. Nick has worked extensively with partners around the world, and is an expert in human intelligence and social engineering. He has also worked as a cyber consultant, advising large companies on their areas of vulnerability and helping devise their cyber strategy. Nick is the head of Darktrace's commercial division. He has a Master's degree in History from Durham University.
Rob Sass, Managing Director, North America
Rob Sass has over 30 years' experience in the enterprise software industry, during which time he has become an expert in business growth and market development. Having joined Verity in 2000, acquired by software leader Autonomy in 2005, Rob served as Senior Vice President of Sales for 13 years, where he was responsible for key strategic accounts and helped deliver some of the world's largest software deployments. Rob holds a degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York.
Sanjay Aurora, Managing Director, Asia Pacific
Sanjay has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software industry specializing in the Asia Pacific region, where he has held a number of senior roles at leading software companies including Interwoven, Oracle, Autonomy and OpenText. Sanjay is responsible for leading the expansion of Darktrace and its award-winning Enterprise Immune System in the exciting Asia Pacific region. He has a degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Emmanuel Meriot, Country Manager, France & Spain
Emmanuel Meriot joined Darktrace in 2014 as Country Manager for France and Spain. He has over 20 years' experience in the enterprise software industry, specializing in the delivery of innovative technology projects for global corporations. Emmanuel was previously Managing Director for Southern Europe at HP's Information Management division, for 2 years, and at Autonomy for 11 years, with responsibility for key strategic accounts. Emmanuel began his career at Xerox and subsequently helped to create the U.S. software company Vantive. He has a Master's degree in business management.
Corrado Broli, Country Manager, Italy
Corrado Broli has over 25 years' experience in the enterprise software industry, focusing on strategic sales and business development. He has served as Country Manager for Italy at several global IT companies, managing major accounts across Italy and Europe and contributing to some of the largest software implementations in the region. Prior to Darktrace, Corrado spent 14 years at enterprise software company Autonomy, where he was Country Manager for Italy and later European Major Accounts Director. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, with a major in Business Management, from the Politecnico di Milano.
John Kirch, Country Manager, North Asia
John has over 25 years of experience working in Japan’s high-technology industry, specializing in leading next-generation software solutions to help address the needs of organizations throughout Japan and other key markets across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Darktrace, John has held a number of senior roles at software companies, including Hyperion Solutions, WatchGuard Technologies, and CyberGuard. John has a degree from Duke University in North Carolina and attended Japan’s Institute for International Studies and Training.
David Masson, Country Manager, Canada
David Masson is Darktrace’s Country Manager for Canada and has over two decades of experience working in fast moving security and intelligence environments in the UK, Canada and world-wide. With skills developed in the civilian, military and diplomatic worlds, he has been influential in the efficient and effective resolution of various unique national security issues. Dave is an operational solutions expert and has a solid reputation across the UK and Canada for delivery tailored to customer needs. In recent years he has advised many government institutions on Insider Threat, helping them to reduce their vulnerability and level of risk. He holds a Master's degree from Edinburgh University.
Alex Markham, Technical Specialist
Alex Markham is an expert in server operations and network analysis, and oversees the building and configuration of the Darktrace platform, co-ordinating its ongoing development. He has wide experience in software development and distributed server architecture, having spent several years at enterprise software leader Autonomy. Alex holds an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
