Darktrace, the world’s leading cyber AI company, today announced that more than 500 organizations across Asia Pacific have deployed Darktrace’s Cyber AI Platform. Home to some of the world’s leading innovators and emerging economies, leading organizations in Asia Pacific have rapidly deployed Darktrace’s AI. These include Australia’s leading retail pharmacy chain Chemist Warehouse, Taiwan’s largest taxi organization Taiwan Taxi Co. Ltd, leading Japanese pharmaceutical company Otsuka Pharmaceutical, South Korean multinational company Samsung Electronics, and India’s leading media organization Network 18.

Continuing on its path of unprecedented growth, Darktrace has more than doubled its headcount, with more than 170 employees across 13 offices in Asia Pacific. To support the increased demand for Darktrace’s technology, the company has also opened new offices in Singapore, Osaka, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.

Asia Pacific enterprises that have turned to Cyber AI ‘immune systems’ to identify and neutralize fast-moving cyber-threats include more than 60 leading financial services organizations (including global banks, stock exchanges, insurance companies and investment firms), over 30 leading government organizations (ranging from regional councils to ministries), and over 15 of the region’s top telecommunications companies.

Darktrace’s recent launch of version 4 of the Enterprise Immune System provides customers with the ability to seamlessly extend AI-powered threat detection and Autonomous Response across the entire digital enterprise – including cloud, SaaS, email, IoT, and networks. The latest launch also introduces Cyber AI Analyst, a groundbreaking advancement in AI that emulates human thought processes to continuously investigate cyber-threats at machine speed – reducing time to triage by 92%.

As Asia Pacific organizations continue on digital transformation journeys, Darktrace AI’s ability to secure diverse digital estates consisting of cloud and IoT devices has never been more important,” shares Sanjay Aurora, Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Darktrace. “Darktrace is a critical ally for Asia Pacific businesses as they adopt new technologies and face increasingly advanced attacks. The tremendous growth we have seen in the region is evidence of the unparalleled power of Darktrace’s Cyber AI Platform.”
No other security tool on the market comes close to Darktrace’s Autonomous Response capability,” commented Richard Jenkins, Head of Information Risk Management, Cyber Security and Governance, at the International Baccalaureate. “The sheer volume of data that Darktrace actively defends would take a team of 50 to 60 security professionals to do manually. Moreover, the speed and precision with which Darktrace identifies genuinely threatening activity exceeds any human capability. Darktrace’s machine learning can now detect and respond in seconds to the threats on our network that might have been missed.”

With adversaries seeking to leverage AI and automation to supercharge cyber-threats, it is increasingly critical that businesses deploy AI technologies to stay one step ahead of these advanced attacks. Mike Beck, Darktrace’s Global Head of Threat Analysis, will be exploring this new reality this week at MIT Technology Review’s Leadership Summit in Singapore. He will be speaking on the panel ‘Resolving the Duality Between Securing AI and Using AI for Security’ tomorrow, Friday 1st November, at 11.20am local time.
