David Morris is Chief Legal Officer of Darktrace, a global leader in AI for cybersecurity that protects nearly 10,000 organizations worldwide from evolving threats across their digital environment, including cloud, email, network, and operational technology.

David joined Darktrace in May 2026 to lead the company’s global legal, compliance, and governance strategy, supporting its continued innovation and growth. He brings more than 25 years of experience across legal, compliance, governance, and government affairs in high-growth technology companies.

Prior to Darktrace, David served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Snyk, where he rebuilt the global legal function during a critical phase of growth. Before that, he was General Counsel at Vivid Seats, leading the legal execution of its public listing and subsequent financing. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at TripAdvisor in senior legal roles, supporting its spin-off and public listing as well as driving legal strategy regarding global expansion efforts and strategic transactions. David has extensive experience in AI governance and cybersecurity regulatory frameworks, supporting the deployment of AI technologies in highly regulated environments.

David is a graduate of Brandeis University and holds a J.D. and M.S. from Boston University, as well as an M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
